Old Faithful Phone Photos

Can we use a cell phone these days to photograph and document our family trips?  Or is a standerd camera still needed?  Here are a few images of old faithful in Yellowstone National Park.  They are just fine.  Stick with a cell phone that is less then two years old.  Mark
