Mojave Desert Vertical or Horizontal?

How do you know if your images should be made vertical or horizontal? While in the Mojave Desert last week I made some images with my phone.

Its a still quite place, full of harsh beauty.
The answer is... it doesent matter. Create the image the way you like it. Here I like the horizontal a bit more.
Now for a tip. Shoot both and you can also decide later. I do this often for you all here at Droid Photo LIFE to illustrate photography points. Mark

Android Photography and the Tombstone OK Coral Shootout

Well the bodies in these coffins are starting to smell. Its been over 100 years. Here I converted this phone photo to sepia and used the history tool in PicSay Pro to quickly back color the sign out with my finger. I didn't do a very good job as I was in a hurry but it gets the point across. Try this yourself! Mark

Old Faithful Phone Photos

Big Equipment Operator

Sometimes you need to move in close to make a good phone photo. At time you will need to cut part of the subject off like in this image. It still make a simple strong photograph of Dave operating a back hoe. Mark
