Airplane Cell Phone Photography

I'm traveling again this week to photograph deer in Texas, for an outdoor organization.  I never tire of sitting by a window and making images of another world above ours.  Here I included this General Electric 28,000 pounds of thurst motor and the clouds beyond.  To get a decent image out the window of an aircraft, hold the lens in a clean spot against the window.  Later add contrast to clean up the bluryness caused by photographing through the window. Commercial airlines have two layers of glass.  Plexiglas on the inside and standard glass on the outside. Be sure to put your phone in "airplane mode" and choose "sports" to get the best results.  Enjoy your airplane photography!  Mark.

Priceless

The more photos you shoot with your phone, the more comfortable you will become and not to mention,  not missing precious moments with your loved ones...especially when you forget your camera.  And the best part you can send the pictures immediately.  Have fun with you camera phones this holiday season.  Donny

Beauty is in the Eye

Think outside the box of point and shoot photography.  When you see the standard "box" view on your phone, move it to the left or right and see what comes of your photo.  In this one I spanned to the left.  Then add or subtract color and to really add a focal point use the tilt shift feature in Pic Say Pro.  Donny

Mojave Desert Vertical or Horizontal?

How do you know if your images should be made vertical or horizontal? While in the Mojave Desert last week I made some images with my phone.

Its a still quite place, full of harsh beauty.
The answer is... it doesent matter. Create the image the way you like it. Here I like the horizontal a bit more.
Now for a tip. Shoot both and you can also decide later. I do this often for you all here at Droid Photo LIFE to illustrate photography points. Mark

Breathing Life

Theres beauty in everything, and one of the beauties of digital photography is there is no such things as "mess ups or bad shots" so step outside the box of point and shoot and see things in different angles.  Dare to be different...

Android Photography and the Tombstone OK Coral Shootout

Well the bodies in these coffins are starting to smell. Its been over 100 years. Here I converted this phone photo to sepia and used the history tool in PicSay Pro to quickly back color the sign out with my finger. I didn't do a very good job as I was in a hurry but it gets the point across. Try this yourself! Mark

Tombstone Stagecoach photo made with Android phone

This week I was in Tombstone AZ on a photography job. I took a moment to walk through town and make some images with my android phone. Ill post some this week. Here I made a photo of the town stage. I waited for the driver and "shotgun " to get off and work on the coach. I added a tree to the foreground for depth and converted the image to black and white for a old look. Try black and white on your phones. Mark
